He graduated from SEMMELWEIS UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE in 1996

Specialty:
 He completed his specialization in Ophthalmology in 2002. He initially spent one year in the Ophthalmic Unit of Athens Naval Hospital (1997) and then in UK, in East Lancashire Hospitals (BRI - BGH) until 2002 when he returned to Greece. During his specialization, he had the chance to be trained especially in Cataract surgery, in Pediatric Ophthalmology/Strabismus and in Neuro-ophthalmology, while following the 4monthly rotation scheme between the Consultants of the unit he had the chance to gain clinical experience in most of the Ophthalmology subspecialties.

He additionally obtained a fellowship in Ophthalmic Ultrasound in the 2nd Department of Erythros Stavros Hospital in Athens  between 1/1/2009 and 30/6/2009.

At 2018, he completed a 2-year master degree in Aesthetic Medicine, awarded by the Universities of Camerino and Torino, Italy.

Experience - Activities

He worked as a Junior Registrar in 2003 in Chalkida's General Hospital, in the Ophthalmological Dept, obtaining further experience in Surgical and Clinical duties.

Since 2004, he runs a private clinical practice in Nikaia, having performed a big number of cataract and laser refractive surgeries.

Since 2009, he has been collaborating with the Ophthalmological Clinic of Erythros Stavros Hospital as an affiliated consultant of the Neuro-ophthalmology department.

In 2009, he actively participated in the preventive Ophthalmic examination of pre-school-age children, organized by the Municipality of Korydallos. He examined that year preventively more than 600 children in Korydallos kindergartens, highlighting the necessity of preventive examination at a young age and timely treatment of eye problems.

In 2012, he worked for six months in Great Britain as a Consultant in the Ophthalmic Department of Darlington’s Memorial Hospital, being in charge of Glaucoma department and particularly involved in Cataract surgery.

In 2013, he worked for three months as a Consultant in the Ophthalmic Department of Elgin/Aberdeen’s Royal Infirmary in Scotland. During his work there, he dealt with Cataract surgery, intravitreal injections for patients with macular degeneration and Medical Retinal problems while at the same time he was responsible on a weekly basis for the Glaucoma and Pediatric Ophthalmology Departments.

Since May 2014, he is running a second Ophthalmic private practice in Porto Rafti area. In the summer of the same year, he examined preventively 400 children from the municipal kindergartens of Markopoulo and Porto Rafti. At the same time in collaboration with parents' associations he participated in the program of preventive ophthalmic examination of primary schools in the area of Porto Rafti.

Educational activities:
Since 2002 and his training completion he attended many international and Greek ophthalmic conferences, participating with his own presentations and informative sessions in his field.

Scientific activities:
He is very active in the scientific field, with more than 80 articles (Greek and foreign languages) presented at conferences and published in journals of Ophthalmology. He often gives lectures on Neuro-ophthalmology as a visiting lecturer in the Ophthalmology clinics of Athens as well as around Greece. From 2004 onwards Mr Papadedes being an active member of the Hellenic Ophthalmological Society, has been invited to deliver teaching lectures to the resident courses the society runs all year round, related to the subject of Neuro-ophthalmology.
